04.5 Cummins - Will barely start after new cp3
Hey guys! I have a problem and I'm kind of at a loss so any help will be greatly appreciated! I recently had my injection pump go bad and replaced it with a industrial injection pump that does 33% more flow. The truck runs great but doesn't want to start. Just when you think it's going to turn over it seems like it looses fuel and stalls. I have to hold the key on through it stalling for the truck to start. I'm being told by a few people it could be my stock injectors can't handle the output of the new pump, and/or the cross-over tubes either need retorqued or replaced. Thanks again guys!

try and start it with the FCA unplugged. Should run and rattle pretty bad! Plug it back in and should smooth out in about 30 seconds. Check for leaks and it wouldn't hurt to throw a wrench on the crossover tubes! Remember to loosen the injector lines first! Find the pressure leak and you'll be fine!

Thanks dangerous! I'll definitely give that a shot. Do you know if there is a Torque spec for those crossover tubes I should be aware of?

Thanks man. They were off at one point. There was a problem with the pump initially and when trouble shooting we took the lines off.
