How Big Should I Go

ok the deal is a friend of mine has a 2005 2500 cummins he wants to put a lift on it he is lookin at either a 4 or a 6 inch lift he wants at least 35's would like 37's so my question is can he fit 35's with a 4 inch also if he did go with the 6 will 37's fit and are their any other mods he would have to do to his truck for it to work

2500HeavyDuty 03-29-2008 07:41 PM

Should fit with either of those lifts

To me the 6" on a Dodge with 37's is perfect.

35's fit with just a levelling kit, and for 37's you need a 4.5" or higher...

i have 35's with a leveling kit

My opinion

The 6"er and the 37"er's are a great combo, my friend has the 07 5.9 and it is sharp!! :dmi:

what would be needed to clear 40's? and where can i find a lift for that? as far as i see i can go with a 8" rize kit, and a 3" body lift. does anyone have any other better sugestions?

no body lift thats my suggestion.

MMStar923 08-10-2008 07:16 AM

then where can i find a 10"+ lift for a dodge? havent seen anything other than airbag lifts. and why do you not reccomend a body lift?

BL to me are cheap, there fine on an old gas truck

but on a diesel you have to mess with the intercooler piping, not worth the $100, plus the ugly gaps:booo:
