swap from 48re to 5 or 6 speed help!
My 06 is currently an auto and recently rebuilt it and now im somewhat reminded about why i like stick shift... I need help i have looked at other posts and would like a bit of help in figuring what all i need to do a swap. I know i need a transmission, clutch pedal and clutch. my question is do i need different driveshafts? How do i get rid of the auto wire harness? any help is awesome. and my truck is a quad cab short bed 4x4

Yes, i believe you would need to redo the driveline.
I also think you would have to have the pcm reflashed because of it having the programming for the auto transmission.I think thats the only way to get rid of the auto wiring harness.
