Loses fuel pressure
I have a 2006 Dodge 2500 5.9. This truck cranks up and runs at correct fuel pressure and then slowly loses it and dies out. It does not lose prime as it always fires right back up. We have tried changing the high pressure pump, lift pump in the fuel tank, crank shaft position sensor, cleaned fuel filter housing assembly... we are stumped at the next step to turn. Any help will be greatly appreciated!!:scare2:

loses supply pressure or rail pressure? If you are meaning rail pressure, check torque on the fuel inlet tube nuts.
|
It has a trouble code of PO148
---AutoMerged DoublePost--- Where would that be located? |
yeah thats fuel rail press. code, the nuts that hold the fuel inlet tubes in are on the side of the cylinder head they screw into the head theres one on for each injector. look where your injector lines run to from the rail and youll see the 24mm nuts that are screwed into the head tighten those up

We are experiencing a loss of power after about 5 miles of driving and then dies out before it gets to base idle
|
did you check the nuts? sounds all too familiar

:humm:Good info here. I too have an 06, but I dont have that issue......Yet! Keep the info coming.

We are checking that right now, I will let you know the outcome, thank you so much for the help!!
