Best turbo and fuel system upgrades?

Looking for everyone's opinion on the best turbo option for cummins for most reliable, most psi, best hp, and reasonably priced, thinking of doing a twin turbo set up on mine but would like everyone's opinion, single or twinned, brand, size.
Also for a cp3 pump I installing 200 hp injector nozzles and getting a 220 gph pump, would the bag of parts from industrial injection work? Or the 85% over cp3 or dual cp3?
Keep in mind this is for the early 2004 dodge cummins looking to be between 700-1000 hp by the end of things an to be used as a daily driver thanks all opinions are appreciated

Deff will need dual cp3s, Ive ran an 85 over pump with rail pressure cranked up and still could not maintain proper rail press. at wot. Im a fan of single turbos but at that power range a big single might be too laggy for what you want. Talk to brett at outlaw turbo. Id say youll be lookin at 68-80mm turbo depending on where you wana be hp wise in that range. If you want compounds the ats add a turbo setup works good.

200HP nozzles are very large. dual CP3 would be a good option, or lower pulse width and an 85% over to get you to 700HP. you would be better off with 125HP injectors maybe 150HP

Early 2004 truck, really dont have much control over inj. pulsewidth with tuners currently available. When efi live lets us older dodges in on the game it will deff. open up alot more options but, as for now youre gona have to put more money in the hardware until we are able to cheat with software.

:nice: Agreed

Okay thanks for the input guys, I've decided to actually pull the motor and do a complete build from there.

With the new Smarty UDC you can control pulse width quite well. I would go with the 200hp nozzles or bigger. You can never go too big with injectors. Just tone them down with your tuning for drivability. I am currently running 200% over injectors in my sled pulling truck with dual cp3s and a s4 frame single charger. I am in the 800hp range with very little turbo lag. My charger lights at 1900 rpm. I can't post the measurements of my charger but bullseye makes one similar for 2.5 class and I know people making 850+ hp on them. Just my .02

what sort of egt's are you pulling guys hitting with injectors that big and large single turbo's? (pre and post light off)

MillerBoyzDiesel 05-21-2013 07:20 AM

around 850 - 900 and I let off at 1600.

i dont want to try to take over a thread, this might help
I had a 06 cummins, it had a smarty s06, Air Dog 165, twin cps with the arson kit on both, 120 II injectors 6.7 tubes, hamilton 110 springs, arp 625's, ED 66/74/14 non-wastegated, second gen setup with the steed speed, hamilton 188/220, 12v tappets, and a afe intake manifold, put down 700hp but the turbo was a bit laggy. wish i would have thrown an efi live tune on it. maybe that might give you an idea on what you want, hope it helps
