Battery Connection Issue PLEASE HELP!

Hello all! My truck recently started to struggle while starting and my indash voltage meter was sitting at about 10. I bought brand new interstate batteries less than a month ago. I figured the problem was an extremely corroded battery terminal on the driver side battery. In a rush i grabbed connection i found in the shop and ran everything that ran to the negative terminal into the new connector. (including fender ground) All said and done when i tried to start my truck again it seemed to have even less starting power than before and gave me the codes P2509 and P2503. Im in high school and have a budget of about 0. Any advice would be super helpful because i have almost no experience with electricity.:argh:

next time soak the connectors in a baking soda and hot water solution it will eat all the corrosion away. I never trust cutting cable and putting new connectors on

The connector literally fell apart. Wasn't much of a choice unfortunately

Check you cables. If your connector was so bad that it fell apart, I'm almost positive that your cables are corroded. If they are, unfortunately, you'll have to replace them. The corrosion can cause enough resistance that you will not get a good charge or be able to start your engine effiiently.

I would do a voltage drop test from bat + to the pdc.
