Help?
I recently bought a 2003 Dodge ram 2500 5.9 it has 120,000 miles on it and it's In great shape. It ran smooth until yesterday when I put a bulldog ppe on it. For some reason it only feels like a minor boost in power and if I take off from a slow roll or a dead stop it almost feels like the transmission has a hard time keeping up. It will bump a few times as it shifts and the exhaust will virtually make no noise. Also i get only a tiny barely noticable puff of smoke. Sorry I know that's a vague description but I can't think of any other way to describe it. Anyone know what this could be please help. This same tune was on my 6.0 and it made a world of difference.

tranny stock? fuel filter plugged? what mods?
|
I just bought the truck a few weeks ago but as far as I know it's completely stock with the exception of the exhaust being straight piped. I haven't looked at the fuel filter.

Not knowing what was done or when to the tranny is something you may want to ask the seller! Get a set of guages to start! What are your goals? Do a full truck service to start so you know what it has.

Well it didn't start happening until I put the tune on the truck. It only occurs when I stomp it to the floor and I'm at a dead stop or rolling a few miles an hour. if I'm driving it normally it doesn't happen.
---AutoMerged DoublePost--- As for my goals one day I would like to be in between 500-600 hp but I'm short on money so that won't be any time soon. For now I just wanted the tune to make it have a little giddy up |
You put the correct tuner on it for the year? There are at least two different versions of the 3rd gen...

Do you know when the front band was adjusted on the tranny?
