AirDog 150 dont like cold....

I have 2004 Cummins and I have some problem with my AirDog. Thats make 3 times this winter that my truck dont start... it start for 2 minutes and the low pressure light come on and it stop. It do that when the temperature is below -25 C (-15 F). The first time it happen I put fuel antifreeze in the tank let it set four couple hours and it work fine after, but the second time I have to put it in the garage to warmup for 4 hours. This morning it do it again at -32 C (-26 F) yes I no it f***** cold, I leave in Canada, my other truck (2006 cummins) start perfect with is original priming pump. I put my truck in the garage and I unplug the fuel line that come from the tank and I suck on it and I have no problem to get the fuel out so it's no frozen in the tank. I remove my filter and water separator from the AD and I empty the fuel to see if it have water in it and it have none. I disconnect the 2 other line from the AD and samething, no ice in it. I always fill my two truck at the same gaz station intown, it's a place were they sell lots of fuel so the problem is not from there, and my other truck work fine. This morning I put apart my AD to see if it have something wrong with it and everything was fine. So... is it possible that my pump is not working because of the cold.... thanks for the advice.

The fuel is waxing in the filters...mine did the same thing.

Next time it does it, take a bucket of hot water and lift it up until the filter is sitting in the hot water, your issues will likely go away for a few miles until the fuel filter plugs again.

The OE filter has a fuel heater to prevent the issue...you can buy aftermarket heated filter "blankets" to solve the issue. That's likely the reason you see no one else having issues, they probably have heated filters or a really coarse filter media (30 micron is typically quoted).

I reposition my pump inside de frame today, my first instalation position was under the driver seat on the frame and I see that a lots of snow was trow by the tire on the pump. If it do it again I try your hot water bucket.. Thanks!
