Programmer Question!! Please Help!!

I have a 2005 Dodge Ram, 5.9 turbo. 6 speed manual transmission. I am new to the diesel community and don't know much. I am wanting to put a programmer on my baby and need a few questions. What is the best programmer? Is there different programmers for a manual transmission? Does anyone have a good one for sale?:humm:

I would put a smarty in. Go on a lower power level if you have a stock clutch.

TST is another great box but a little harder to install. Smarty has better low end power TST shines on the upper end.

Well I pull a excavator all day so I really need the tourqe. If I were to buy a used one would it have to be for a manual transmission or does it just need to be for the 5.9? Also I just had my clutch replaced but it's just a oem clutch.

Smarty will give you the hp/tq you need. And doesnt matter about manual or auto. As long at you get the right fitment for your model/year your good to go. But with stock clutch I would be cautious running the smarty above SW#5 or SW#6. But even at those power levels you wont even know the excavator is behind you. :tu:
