I thought my truck was jelling up the other night but now don't know whats going on. It would only do about 1500 rpms and then start cutting out. then when I got on a rougher road the last mile from home I could barely move and had to restart about 10 times. It seem to run better longer if I let it cycle up before cranking it. so I changed the filter and now it runs good for about a minute and then dies. when I open the water drain I hear a big wooosh of air. ??? any ideas???

Your lift pump has failed...the 03 and early 04 have a fuel bowl-mounted pump that will not pass fuel when they die. Geno's Garage offers a direct replacement... |
I agree with steved. Your lift pump failed. Do not run it with a bad lift pump, you'll over work your injection pump. Then you're looking at bank to replace both.
