Waste motor oil

Has or does anyone currently run used engine oil in there diesel? I am looking to start this process but wondering what people think of it. Or if anyone is currently running it and how the performance, mileage normal everday things are?

i see guys running it after they filter it real good but also see injectors coked up.

Im looking into this as well. From what I can tell a centrifuge is the way to go. Might be more money up front but there are no filters to change( unless you pre filter before going through the centrifuge). There is a guy where i live that works at the Chevy house and he runs his 7.3 on V85(85% WMO and 15% RUG) says he has had no problems.

Well for $100 plus per fill up it wouldn't take long to save for injectors. Theres a big thread on the subject in the alternative fuels section but most running it are doing so in 12 valves or IDI's. Not so sure about runnin it in a CR :c:

I wouldn't recommend running used oil if you have any performance upgrades. With that said unless your running full synthetic that is the only way you get brand new unused oil federal law requires every container of oil to have a percentage of recycled oil in it. But like I said many people love the centrifuge but I myself do not recommend it when these motors cost a lot of money.
