Smarty or Edge when it come to the 48RE?

Been doing alot of research on the two.. One thing that sticks out is the Smarty has an obvious 60hp lead over the Edge Juice w/ Attitude. But one thing I did notice is all the safety defueling measures the Edge has especially for Transmission slip. I plan on getting the trans built up either way but could I still achieve the defueling capabalities with just the CTS Monitor and the power with the Smarty or does the edge have to run as a complete setup for most of its features? Which one is safer when it comes to keeping things in line? They both seem like they have their distinct advantages and disadvantages.

Edge is probably the safest of the two. That being said I would go with the smarty for the greater tunability over the edge.

Do you think the defueling features availabe on the Edge system would be available on just the CTS monitor? I could then run a smarty and an Edge CTS monitor for protection.

No I believe those features come from the module not the display.

Yeah, I would contact edge to verify, though.

Why would you expect a monitor (or a gauge) to adjust fueling? That's not their purpose.

in my opinion once it slips damage is already started on the tranny. :hellox:
