Default Hope to buy 2006 Dodge Cummins

Hi, I'm a new member here. Live in NW Washington State. Read a bunch here on the site, great info! So, here's a question for those smarter than me; I am looking at a 2006 Dodge Cummins with 269000 on the engine and original tranny. The guy selling used to haul light trailers (5th wheel) down to Eugene, OR. 95% of the miles are highway. He's taken meticulous care of the rig. Any idea how many miles one can get out of a factory rig? Guess what I'm asking is what might I expect to replace at this mileage? Any input would be much appreciated. Thanks all!
Glad I joined!

Auto or stick? But if everything has been kept up with I would say another 100k as long as you keep up on it, if its an auto and never been rebuilt I would question in. If a manual go on how it feels.

I wouldn't buy a hotshot truck unless it was a real good price and as said above, was taken care of.

Thanks for the input. Going to check it out today. It's an auto tranny. I'm up near Lynden.

269,000 miles! Love to hear those kind of numbers. I have a 2006 but only have 55,000. Love the truck. Looks like I will be keeping it for a long time.

I love my 06. Got 135k on it so far. If that truck has seen alot of towing, I would prepare for a tranny replacement/ rebuild, in the not so distant future. The engine will just keep on chuggin along tho.

Ya same things as everyone else is saying, I have an 05 and I live down in Arlington. I would say that number is not a big deal for the motor other then the injectors if they are stock and the filtration system is stock I would start to ask questions on that too. My truck is a manual so I cant really say anything about the autos but I know lots of buddies that have had to rebuild them. Being a road pounder I would look into the front end a lot. I just now had to rebuild my front end at 126k and it costs quite a few bucks to do it right. I kinda screwed up and took the word of the seller on mine a little too much and kinda got screwed on a few things but the truck is healthy now thank god.
