Rear Main Seal / Crankshaft
In the process of removing my rear main seal, I slighty scrached my crankshaft. One of the scrachs has a slightly raised burr to it.
My question is what should I do? Anyone here ever make that mistake? Also my truck is a 6spd, so I dont want oil to leak all over the new cluch. |
emery cloth it and it should be fine just sand it down till you cant feel it anymore

Thanks, is a possible to bolt up the flywheel and run the engine to see if it leaks or is that just a waste of time?
Also whats the thoughts on those sleeves for the end of the crank? |
Waste of time. It should be fine unless you scratched it really really deep. But in theory yes you could run it like that.
