It could be on the block, under and slightly behind fuel filter canister. If you bump the starter you should be able to hear it run.

1999stroker 07-11-2012 10:42 AM

Yeah I can hear it run the filter canister is on driver side towards firewall buddy said its on same side but towards radiator

Like Empty said, it should then be behind the fuel filter and slightly below that towards the firewall.

Find it?

Dodgemanstan 07-12-2012 07:56 AM

Just down and towards the rear from the fuel canister. Pretty much right below it...

I took a gander and didn't see anything that looked like a LP I saw something that was cylindrical but not that big? So is it in tank.

If it is block mounted, it may look like a cylinder. There will be a hose in, and a hose out, with 2 wire going to it. If you turn the key on, and bump the starter it will turn the fuel pump on. Leave the key in the run position, and have a listen for a fuel pump in either of the two locations. It will run for about 25 seconds.

Ok. Thanks

#1 is the location of the block mounted LPs in the diagram below. :tu:

1999stroker 07-12-2012 09:42 PM

Ok.its jarrod right? I don't believe it'd on the block, the cylinder looking thing I saw was mounted flat not up and down like the picture shows

Yes it is Jerrod, the flat top cylinder looking thing is probably #6 on the diagram which is your stock fuel filter location. Look Below and back toward the firewall to find #1 if you have it.

Rubber Duck88 07-12-2012 09:47 PM

on my 99 24 valve it was behind the fuel filter and a little lower with 2 lines on the top of it if you change it a fuel pressure gauge would also be a good idea i also think there is a vedio on youtube how to change it

1999stroker 07-12-2012 09:53 PM

Yes I know where that's at.this cylinder im talking about is behind and below it on the block, and it already has a fuel pressure gauge hooked up it looks like just no gauge
