dies after pulling
99 cummins 4x4 , comp box , 110 horse injectors, k&n intake , 150 air dog 5 inch turbo back , ok so I pulled the sled the other night i went 340 feet at the end of the track I let off fuel and it died and didn't wanna start like it ran out of fuel , cracked the lines and got air out fired up runs fine do i have a problems or do i need to ease of the fuel slow
vps do that some times. you should be good.:hellox:
It's done it before. When i pulled it. Guess ill try letting off it slow , just looks real good when it dies and u get pulled off the track
I know it isn't always possible to watch it, but what's fuel pressure like mid pull? Running vp dry is bad news bears.
Yeah i know its bad , I never looked while pulling but it idels at 20 psi and ive never saw it under 15,or 17. I've had people tell me that just letting off the gas at the end and not feathering out will do it
going from %100 to %0 percent throttle could shock the motor? like the draw of fuel stops and it dosen't have sufficient fuel to sustain idle??? i have no idea just shooting out ideas! :s::humm:
Yeah that's what i think its doing
Vps are kind of troublesome for that. They dont really like full fuel then lifting the throttle super fast. I'd try coming off a little slowing if fuek pressure is good.
Yeah I will and thanks everyone
