Starting Problems ?
so i just recently bought a fass fuel lift pumpo for my truck becasue i had about 5psi of fuel pressure so i changed the pump and every thing was ok blead the lines and everything started up fine then a couple of days later i started getting some rough starts i have never faced this before so i dont know if its my starter or could it have to do with something on my lift pump. also ive read all around the forum that fuel pressure should be around 20 psi at idle mine is at 27-28 is there any way i could turn this down to 20 ? and is there any harmful things that could happen to my truck if i run it with 27-28 psi just need some help i dont want to mess up my truck if its just for a carless mistake thanks guys

High fuel pressure makes for hard starts. No advantage to running it over 20psi at idle.

How do you turn it down ? If you can

There should be an adjustment screw on the LP.

My lift pump doesn't look like that
It's just the replacement fass ---AutoMerged DoublePost--- Does anybody else have a idea ? |
i was about to post a similar question because we just put a new in fueltank pickup unit with an electric fuel pump instead of just the sending unit. so now there are both the in tank pump and the pump mounted to the block. the starter cranks for 6-9 seconds before firing and the fuel pressure is at 48psi and then 60psi at idle. what do i do?
---AutoMerged DoublePost--- should there be fuel pressure at the pump before the key turns on? and after the truck shuts off the pressure slowly seeps down to 0psi in about 4 mins |
Install a fuel pressure regulator:
Fass - Fuel Air Separation System It's that simple. Then you have control over your fuel pressure. |

Your Direct Replacement is running to high of pressure those leave our facility at 16-18 psi. The ball under the mounting bracket could be getting stuck can youtake the bracket off and look to see if the ball is stuck?

Yes I could
