My 01 smokes a bit when cold
So on my 01 Ram 2500 it smokes slightly when started cold. Just enough that you can see the blue out of the tailpipe and you can smell unburned fuel a bit. It goes away after a couple minutes. What is most likely causing this? It starts great and isn't missing or anything.

Just a cold high mileage motor. Mine does it in the winter time and some times in the spring and fall. It's just a cold motor

Don't worry mine does too:pca1:

everyones does it when its cold.. perfectly normal

i have heard that when a 12v does that, you change the fuel filter and it goes away. i am not sure if this is right but it might help.

I couldn't see a 12v not smoking a little on a cold start. I've worked on a few and they all smoked a little idling cold. Not on a 60 degree ambient temp start but you get the point. Its normal. Just cold engine with unburnt fuel.
