Dipstick Blow By

I just put in my injectors and the truck runs great. But I have noticed that I am getting a lot of blow back at the dipstick. It will push it out and then i get oil all over. What do you think I did wrong or how can I fix it? Thanks Jim

If it didn't do it before, sound like the injectors didn't seal properly. Or worse.

How do I check it and what about or worse? JIm

You might check the crankcase breather ..on the other side of the timing oppisite the injector pump to be sure it isn't getting blocked or the hose pinched.
Excessive blow-by indicates worn piston rings and such.

If the overflow on the front of the timeing case is not blocked up I don't know how you could blow oil out the dipstick. And if your have so much block pressure building that the front vent is not adequate you would be blowing oil all over the back of your truck. So I would say to check the screen in the breather tube coming out the front of the motor.

Pull the hose clamp off the down hose, and then turn the big plastic cap about a 1/4 turn and it will pop right off. Inside of the plastic cap is a screen to check.

thanks

I put a bungy cord a little one on the dipstick and made sure it stayed on .Drove the truck problem solved. So I thought maybe I did not have the dipstick pushed in tight to start with so I took off bungy cord and made sure I pushed dipstick in tight. Solved my problem I guess in my hurry to see how the thing would run I did not put it in tight after I installed injectors. Newby mistake thanks for your help you gus always give great advice. Jim

Exactly. If you dont clean the PCV system and it gets clogged there is nowhere for the pressure to escape so it follows the least path of resistance and comes out of the dipstick tube.

The problem is next will be your front or rear main seal, then your valve cover, and etc...
