i have a 27gal tank in my 01 ext cab short bed i want to put a 36 gal tank in but dnt know how my sending unit will accept it, i have a overhead console that tell me my current milliage and other things will all this work properly if i swap tanks, will my gauge be accurate?

 

I wasn't aware a larger tank would fit in the short bed trucks. If you can get another one to fit in there, as long as they are the same height all should work fine.

 

ill have to measure i know my buddy dustin has a 98.5 and his is a 34 gal tank stock
