what injector size?

hey guys, i just got enough money together for a rapter 100 and a set of injector nozzles and i was wondering what a good size nozzle is, i plan on running at the focky mountain cummins fest this year in colorado and i want to run the best time i can. there are sizes from 40hp to 160hp and almost every size in between so let me know what size will get me the best power.

assuming you have the stock hx35 and stock auto trans i wouldnt go any bigger than 75 horse with the edge ez just my 2 cents

Agreed, yes if your planning on doing some fast consistant et's your gonna get hot, and with stock turbo and trans you will be hot. Trust me im in the same boat I got 150,s stock turbo/tranny for now,and i gotta be smart.:tu:

thanks guys, i think i am going to get some 75hp. now, what do i torque the thing holding the nozzle in and what do i torque the injector hold down bolt to?:humm:

You have to take them to a shop that does that. The have to set pop pressure and flow test them. T:tu:he hold down bolt does not get torqued real tight. I forget the exact number, you can get an answer here im sure someone will chime in

They must be pop tested

I was in the same boat a few months back. If you are like me you are just going to want bigger ones down the road. I would get the 160's now. You will need a EGT gauge too.
