Default auto to 6spd...

ok guys i wanted the 6spd. when i bought my truck 5 years ago and now the auto is starting to take a crap on me i dont know what to do i can get a fully built tranny from the shop that i go to for around $5800 using suncoast parts thats what he deals. But i still wouldnt mind banging the gears with the 6spd. so if you have done this or have any idea about it help me out please.... i need to know about how much it would cost to convert over????? and how hard of a process it is????

Its your Choice its not that hard. IMO i would build the Auto. If yo go the other route there is a guy in Indy that has a full conversion kit comes with 6 speed tranny, peddles, drive shafts, pressure plate and all the goodies that you need. I have the add posted on here under the for sale section.

Ok thanks smittyloopster I'll take a look at it. I'm really just wondering Wich will last longer and Put up with some occasional abuse

you cant kill those 6 spds, they go hundereds of thousands of miles before needing rebuild if proper care is taken
