Default Torque converter wont go in lock up!

i have a 98.5 and they tranny is prob junk but just 2 days ago it stopped going into lock up. and if i turn od off it wont lock up either. what could this be? and is it worth doing a 5spd swap or built auto

build the auto, check your TPS

could be electronics could be converter. if your thinking swap just build the auto and be done. a good triple disc converter and a suncoast valve body you will be very happy.

my 99 is the same way, but i can manualy lock it in with the switch.

A Snap on scanner will tell you if the tcc solenoid is activated by the computer. if the solenoid & valve are ok pretty shure the lock up clutch is no good. How many miles are it?

if the clutch was going out it would shake and shutter like crazy before it wouldnt lock up at all.

I would deff check the voltage on the tps first.
