Default screaming down the road and died wont start?

ok guys a have 01 5.9 cummins with an edge juice with attitude programmer i pulled away forom the stop light and was pouring some smoke to the ricers shifted into 4 th gear and puh it died. check engine light came on and it wont refire. my fass fuel is working and i ahve pressure at the injection pump and on number 2 and 5 injector. havent checked the other injectors yet. plugged the hand held in and it shows some codes when i lloked them up it says injection pump malfunction. so we cleared the codes and it still wont start. truck is stock other than chip, fass fuel, and air intake. any ideas? checked fuses in dash and under the hood in the box. Any ideas or thought are greatly appreciated.

Injection pump malfunction means most of the time the electronics on the VP44(injection pump) is fried. You can first check all the fuses in the truck. Then check for power to the injection pump.

What is the fuel pressure at the VP44? What FASS pump do you have?

i will have to look up the codes again. i didnt write them down i jsut copied them on to my droid and lloked them u; on the internet. i have a FASS 150 GPM i alway have about 14 or 15 PSI of fuel pressure when wide open. it is set to scream at me at 12 PSI and it never did so i doubt it was starving for fuel. i will check pressures when i get home to see what it is running.

The first two are injection pump control codes. not sure about the third. Sounds like the pumps bad to me.

1688 = New Injection pump. My guess is that your fried the electronics on the VP44.

And yeah, don't get me started on smoking people out.................
