Lift Pump Fuel Pump
 

So i filled up the other day, and now the truck runs like shit. Had it checked out over a gallon of water in the tank. It took out the fuel and lift pump. any ideas of what to replace them with?

IF so then make a thread in the " request a price quote "forum and all of the site sponsers will shoot ya a PM on a new Injection pump as well as a new lift pump...........................I WOULD go aftermarket on the lift pump and highly recommend a Fass OR Airdog........also if ya aint got a fuel pressure gauge this would be an excellent time to add one

I am probably wrong but I don't see water takin out these pumps and I'd hate to see ya spendin almost $2G and still have the problem. In the small amount of time it would take to get that fuel out of there it's shouldn't hurt those pumps at all. I'd be more willin to bet that you just have water thoughout the system and just need to drain everything between the tank and the injector tubes so it can refill with some clean fuel.

I have a hard time believing this as well (not calling you a liar). I would highly suggest the method above before I dropped that kind of money.

I push snow with it and i go through fuel. I have filled up 3 or 4 times in over a week. So if water was in it every fill up, it been in there for a week. The truck runs 6-8 hours a day. Im not sure. I had a local performance truck shop look at it. They said 800 for them both installed. So im sure there just replacements. Of course now is the time to spend the money. So i was just wondering what to get. I have to put a new track bar on today so i will try what you said about draining it. That lift pump was only a little of a year old so i had a hard time believing it was junk too.

The water would interfere with fuel ignition long before it would hurt the pumps any. $800 installed for an LP and a VP tells me theres pretty damn fishy about this deal.
