starting problem

truck does not want to start after being shut off for a short period of time. if it sits all night itll start right up. have to pull fuel line off back of injection pump turn key let fuel pump out put line back on then start it. replaced o rings on connector tubes put new filter system on it and still no luck not sure if the fass pump is goin out or wut the deal is. any ideas?

So essentially it doesn't start when the engine/pump is warm? If so, its a classic symptom of a failing injection pump. More specifically, a cracked diaphragm in the pump.

Not familir with the term "p pump". What is that?? I'm asking cause I just replaced the vp44 in my 01. I still can't get the thing to start

a P-pump is the Bosch P7100 injection pump used on the 94-98 12 valve cummins

Will those work in the 24valves??? I didn't think they were interchangeable??

You can p-pump your 24 valve but prepare to spend alot of $$$$$$$$$$.

Well, that at least gives me another option if I keep having problems with the vp
