can anyone tell me what front axle is under a 99 3500 drw? is a 2500 the same or will it bolt up? is a single rear wheel truck the same? and finally what years will interchange? i understand gears need to match and im lookinm for exact bolt up match. hope someone can help!

i think i found it is a dana 60....2500 and 3500... anyone know if a 97 2500 or an 01 will bolt up?

i believe the only difference in a front dana 60 from a 2500 to a 3500 drw is the hub spacer adapters that stick out for the offset rims.

My 3500 has DANA 80s in back and 60s in front.. It's a 99.

while changing my spacers to a new axle i found the spacers dont fit these rotors. changing out rotors today.

to tell what axles you have... open the hood and look up, theres a sticker that tells you everything:argh:

the truck is a slavage truck. not alot of original parts and i wasnt sure what parts were. found the tag on the rear axle. while searching for one i found out alot of things...its stamped on the ring gear, a dealership can look it up from the vin, they call it a spicer 60 not dana 60, and its a 4:09 not a 4:10 (they round up) some salvage yards wont tell you that they are the same....i was confused.
it is in now and ready for a test drive this morning. hope its all well!
