Block heater idea?

I recently moved to an apartment and now i dont have a place to plug my truck up in the winter time, is there any other way i could run my block heater somehow such as off the batteries or something else, im sure itd drain them overnight but trying to find an alternative to this

This is a more expensive unit then just a block heater, but they work anywhere.

They use the diesel out of your tank for fuel, and power from your batteries to function. Essentially it's a diesel fueled circulating block heater. I have one, and LOVE it! Down side is the $1200-$1400 plus install.
