Clutch help
I own a 2001 2500 Dodge cummins 5 speed. I can tell that my Clutch is starting to go out. The truck has around 255,000 miles and a hual a 4 to 6 horse trailer on a weekly basis. I would like advice on what type of clutch I should get. The truck as some after market parts such a a small 50 horse power chip. I don't need to go fast I just want to be able to pull and not worry about losing my clutch. i would really appreicte any help at all. I'm new on this slight as well. So far it's pretty swell. Thank you so much guys and gals!:ty:

Is that all the performance mods you want to do? A good single disk from SouthBend will work just fine. Dont need anything passed 350hp if all you have is that chip. If you want to spend a little extra and get a double disk that is always the best because the have alot more clamping force and will last forever. :c: I have a 500hp rated single disk in my 2000 and its grabby as hell. I should of got a double disk.

Re: Clutch help
I'd get a good towing dual disc.

south bend is amazing... my truck stays hooked to either a 32 foot flatbed or 32 foot steel cattle trailer... with all my mods i've never slipped it once... put about 100,000 on the clutch... its a medium dual disc... the 3600 or something like that..

Moved to the Dodge section as this thread doesn't belong in the distress section... Carry on. :c:
