NV5600 Flywheel

I have an '01 2500, NV 5600 equiped. need to upgrade the clutch. I wanna put a CONOFE in it. Do they use the factory flywheel or do i get to buy a new one?

Thanx

I believe you can get them with or without a flywheel....

I undrstand that I'm just askin if the stock flywheel is usable with the aftermarket clutches.

Thanx

On the NV5600 you can reuse your flywheel. You will just need to get it resurfaced.

It actually depends on the clutches, most singles including the Con OFE can use the factory flywheel, double disc clutches on the other hand do not. I personally, I'd go with a 3400 lb street dual disc, having ran an OFE, its a grabby SOB,especially when backing up with a trailer. I know it costs more, but gives you a better feel, better ride and smoother engagement than a OFE and it gives you room to grow in your mods. IIRC, an OFE is tapped out at 500hp and 1000 ft lbs or some where in that area. If you are planning on going above that or even close to it, go ahead to the dual and give yourself some wiggle room, no need to pull the trans more than you have too
