Not getting fuel

I have an 02 Cummins 2500. this truck is all stock with a rebuilt tranny, new lift pump, fuel filter, and throttle positioning sensor. When you are going about 55 in the truck it will lose all power and go to an idle untill you take your foot off the accelerator and push it to the floor. Then it will take off. I have noticed if you set the cruise over 65 it will not do it. I was told maybe injection pump, but not sure. Any help?

really sounds like a TPS still, have you checked the volatge?

Was a APPS (TPS) reset done?:humm:

Did you scan for codes.

02cummin,

If it gets narrowed down to being your apps, they are high dollar items through the dealership. There is an aftermarket solution called a Timbo Apps. Alot cheaper than what the dealer wants, and works great.

Here is something I copied from his site "The most common problem when a APPS sensor is failing is a "Dead Pedal" You'll be driving down the road and hit the go pedal and NOTHING. A real annoying problem. The most common codes are the 0121,0122,222,223 code.
Another issue is a surging or a bucking, this often times will not throw any codes. The other cause of the "Dead Pedal' is a failing vp-44 injector pump.
Common codes for Injector pump are 0215,0216,1688,1689"

I had the same problem with my 02 dodge and they told me that the low pressure sensor could be reset still in the truck and the injector pump didn't have to be removed. I'm trying to find out why my raptor150 went out this makes the 5th pump in this truck since I have owned it.:scare2:

If you are having problems with pumps going out the first place I would start is the electricial system alt, batteries, grounds and the voltage regulator.
