My blinker went out (not as simple as it sounds)
So, my pass. side rear light goes out (blinker, brake, taillight)... okay, no big deal, I go buy some bulbs. Throw em in, turn the lights on, go check, tailight works, but the blinker and brake light are still dead... but if they are the same friggin bulb, how can this be happening? I chased the wires looking for anything suspicious, found nothing. Checked fuses, etc. Any ideas?

get a test light and probe the plug when brakes are depressed and when the turn is on and see if you've got power at the plug. if those functions arent working then look for the next connection and do the same...somewhere there is probably a corroded wire or bad connection

Could be the little control box on your fuse panel. It's a black box lookin thing that I believe controls your blinker functions. I'll see if I canget you a pic and better description tommorow.

Check all the fuses?
|
mix all those ha, personally i'd check fuses then power at the tail end, go through till your pack at the panel and start checking for bad news in the fuse panel or switch on the column. iirc we don't have a fuse for left or right stops and turns, it's one fuse/relay.
may start getting to the point you may want a wiring diagram if it's not in the simple steps above |
Column switch sucks, they're expensive as crap! Hope it's a fuse lol

yes get scematic,& test light, either broken wire or dircetional switch. the brake lights run thru this switch & are intrupted to give flash funtion because of the shared filiment for both funtions

left turn
Hi aguilar_15 you said something about a column switch I think this is my problem. My left turn signal sometimes blinks double time, but my bulbs are good and it seems that if I turn my wheel sometimes it will fix its self. Does this sound like a column switch going?

i have the same problem
