not sure about the wires but pick up a manual for your truck from your local auto parts store, or just look through one. They have a wiring diagram inside it that will tell you what wire goes where, it s a pain to read through but it beats guessing. I'd look in mine and tell you but I do not have it with me

Default tach

after many hours of trial and error i have came to the conclusion that i need to put the cam shaft for the 2001 back in the the ecm looks at the crank angle sensor difrently than it would the cam sensor and since that truck only had the cam sensor when i plug the cam sensor to the crank sensor engine runs bad and tack quits i even tried useing a pick up un the balacer i think the problem is that truck starts on pick up from the vp44 and then switches to the cam sensor and if you trie to use the crank sensor it doesnt see it wright becuse the tone ring on the cam sensor has more pulses than the crank and the ecm doesnt like it becuse it is making a comparason to the cam and the vp at the same time i even tride to put the crank sensor to the plugs that would of been used if that truck had one but the ecm dosent recognize it becusde it wasnt programed for it so i think my final cunclusion is to put the 2001 cam in unless any body else can think of a difrent way to make the ecm recognize it properly so the tach works and trans will shift and engine will produce proper power thanks

I DON'T KNOW IF YOU WILL CHECK THIS SITE OUT, BUT I AM HAVING THE SAME ISSUES. I HAVE CHANGED ENGINES FROM 2001 TO A 2000 REPLACEMENT ENGINE. I WAS INSTRUCTED TO CHANGE CRANK GEAR TO SOLVE PROBLEM. THAT WAS A NEGATIVE. I SEE HERE YOU CHANGED THE TIMING GEAR CASE, ALSO. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF THERE IS GOING TO BE ANYTHING ELSE I WILL HAVE TO CHANGE. IF YOU WANT TO CONTACT ME BY PHONE MY NO.
