Tranny replacement

Is it cheaper to get my 47re rebuilt or to just get a new one and replace it?

it all depends on how what your plans are with the truck and if you have an experienced diesel transmission shop around.

Not much for a plan just wanna keep this one simple until i get a newer cummins but no big dreams for the strip or pulls

A brand new one will be much more expensive than getting it rebuilt... Also as stated above it depends how much power you have/ plan to have

right now i really only got the edge juice right now.....No real plans right now for injectors or a biigger turbo....I'm not getting back to the states till feb, i'm overseas right now but i' going back dec of 2012 so i dont feel like spendin a lot of money to build it up if i;m gonna be gone.....Don't they make a performance rebuild kit??

I'd say if thats all your gonna do to the truck performance wise then a good torque converter, and valve body should be enough for you.

Ok but i'm pretty sure the tranny need to be replaced cause it ha 285,xxx on it and the original tranny and its sleep and i have to sometimes ease it into gears

do a suncoast extreme rebuild kit with a suncoast valve body and a triple disc converter.
