I have a 99 2500. Due to a tire tread separation incident, I'm finding myself searching for a replacement bed. Would the bed off an earlier 2nd gen be a direct swap on my 99? My concern is for looks as well as support brackets underneath as well as taillights, Fuel filler neck, mounts and the tailgate. Any help would be appreciated.

I believe they are the same since dodge hadn't really changed the body at all from 94 to 02. Do some measurements on the mounting points but I'm pretty sure its the same given the frame and body has been basically the same on 2nd gens of all years
