Possible Transmission Patch
Hey everybody I was told of a product called Lab Metal by ALVIN PRODUCTS. Someone told me it could be used to patch cracks in cast. They said its been successfully used to patch engine blocks and I was just wondering if anyone has ever heard of this product or know if it might be able to be used to patch that crack in my transmission. Just looking for a way to save time so I can get my truck back as soon as possible.
Heres a link to their website if anyone is interested. http://www.alvinproducts.com/Products/Products.asp?id=1 |
Well upon a further look into this Lab Metal and its tested applications I've found that it has been used on transmission to fill cracks and such. So we are gonna give it a whirl and see if it holds up. I'll update when its done, which could be a week or two due to time constraints. If it works out good this product will get an A+ in my book and everyone will have a cheap alternative to fixing cracked transmissions. If anyone has any thoughts feel free to post them, I'm always open to hear everyone's opinion.
