injector hold down

Hey guys so before I put my new turbo on a couple months ago I found that my #2 injector hold down was broke in half so I bought a new one and installed it. So I just pulled my valve cover to paint it and found that it broke again. Truck runs normal with it broke. What would cause this to happen? I need to figure this out cause I don't want to hurt anything cause its my DD. I hope you guys can help thanks in advance

The plate that holds down the injector is breaking? I'd be pullin ghtat injector out and looking for any damage to the tip. Maybe something has happened to cuase piston to nozzle contact! :scare2:

I pulled the injector and it is perfectly fine no damage to nozzle or anything jsut the broken hold down::s:

What did you torque it to? Its a very light torque its like in the 10-15 ft lbs range just off hand?

Well there are two bolts that hold down the injector hold down. Your only supposed to remove the outside bolt "towards exhaust Manifold" and slide out the Injector Hold down. When you go to install your new injector hold down i would mic what the other inside bolts that injectors slide into "ones on the intake side" Maybe see if the previous owner didnt tweak that one that keeps snapping hold downs. Check for bolt shoulder height and adjust if needed. You dont want that coming out in your valvetrain......ouch
