ATS Auro 3000 turbo

Sorry if there is a thread for this already, the site is looking a little weird today. I have a 98.5 24v with intake horn, airdog 150, edge EZ, straight pipped, ATS flex plate, ATS transmission, ATS five star converter and ATS co-pilot. My stock turbo doesn't spool up quick anymore with the five star. I wanted to know if the ATS 3000 would be a good match, and spool up quicker. I figured it's ATS, so it should. I had a Smarty stacked with my EZ, but I was having COM-TIME OUT errors, and it smoked too much, so i had to return it. I don't plan on adding anymore fuel, but i'd like it to be more efficient. If anyone know if the ATS would be good, or another quick spooling turbo, please help me out. Oh, I don't want it to go over 40 psi.:humm:

man sounds like an ad for ATS! lol just jokeing bud, is the converter tighter than stock? that would make it spool slower, sorry not too familiar with ATS, but from what i have seen the 3000 is a decent turbo.

sorry, the converter stalls at a lower rpm, and it's very tight, that's why the stock turbo doesn't spool up quick anymore.

i see, well if you get a bigger turbo ie the 3000 it will probably spool slower if my thinking is correct

ATS says the 3000 is faster spooling than the stock, plus it has ball bearings and the stock doesn't.

true, probably a good setup designed all around each other. i would give them a call and talk to them about it and see what they recomend!:tu:
