Tranny question...

So I bought this new truck while back. It's a 2001 2500 auto 2x4. I got it got for a really good deal. So the question is when ever I start it up when it's cold, the tranny seems bogged down. Now this is right after I start it and shift it in to gear, it will move just higher than normal rpms. After about 30 sec thro it's fine and strong as ever. Also if the trucks warm it will not do this. It's got fluid and shifts fine just this small thing. Thanks!

Its just cold, got to get the fluid warmed up just a bit. I could be wrong but every tranny I have ever had, new, rebuilt, and well warn in did this. Although, if someone put the wrong fluid in it, it could make it worse than normal.

drop the pan and change the filter you could have a filter almost stuffed.

Yea I think Ill drop the pan and change the fluid and filter... I never know there was a filter in there :s: but that's because every car I have had before this was a stick shift! :tu: Oh well guess I got something to do this weekend
