Default Only One Heated Seat Working

Hello all,

I am on my way this weekend to buy a 2001 2500 and I am told that the drivers seat heater does not work. Because this guy does not sound like a dumb a$$ I am thinking it is not a fuse. Any ideas where I began to look? He says the light flasses.

there could be a bad relay somewhere inline there.... i'd unplug the power going to the seat, and try to turn it on. check with a volt meter and see if you are getting voltage at the plug. if you are then the seat is the problem, if not then it's a fuse or a relay somewhere... or it could be a combination of both. i know it won't be long before someone post up the wiring schematics for the heated seats......

O.K. Winter is back and I did nothing to fix the heated seat. I am going out now to look at it in the cold. Any suggestions?

You could pull the seat cover off and check for a broken wire. That's what happened to mine last year. The light flashed but no heat. Now this year my passenger side light doesn't work but the heated seat does It's always something Good Luck to ya

Thanks Jazz,

I plan to get the drivers side bottom recovered after Christmas. Maybe I will wait until then.

If anyone has a wiring diagram. This could help. Not me but someone that knows more about wires than me.

Looser1 just lives up the road. He is good with these things.

On this same line of thinking..... I replaced the cloth manual seats in my truck with leather, power seats.... now I've got a constant seatbelt light illuminated. Any thoughts?
Thanks!
