ABS / P-brake lights on

Hi, my ABS and parking brake light are both on all the time on my dash and its really getting annoying. I heard when both the ABS and parking brake lights go off it usually meens a faulty abs sensor? hoping someone can clear this up for me or give me some suggestions. Also would an 02 have abs sensors on all 4 or just the rear?

id go through and bleed your brakes all around to make sure the sensor isn't bad then if it still has problems id say replace it or check further if you want. also you should have disk brakes and mine the cables got pintched witch wasn't letting the pedal all the way up and so it would trigger the parking brake light. hope this helps some good luck :tu:

for them both to be on it the sensor on the rear axle is either bad or shorting out in a connector. they are bad about the plug on the sensor corroding especially if you live somewhere that uses a lot of road salts. unplug it and clean it first in the connectors i think there are two at the rear of the truck on the wiring harness that need to be pulled apart and cleaned. unplug the battery cables while you do this and hook them back up once everything is pluged back in. if that doesnt work replace the sensor, just be ready to fight with it they are bad about breaking off it the housing while trying to remove them. just spin it around while pulling up gentley and it may not break.

02s will all come with at least ABS in the rear. the sensor is on the differential. Some models came with ABS in the front also. Just look at the hub and see if there are any wires going to it :tu:
