vacuum?
my ac only blows thru defroster vents and cruise control stopped working.where is a good place to start?
|
At the vacuum pump, located below the Injection pump. Look for a black hose with a rubber boot, it needs to be connected to the vac. pump.

it is connected checked all that could vacuum pump be bad? am i even on the rite track?
|
I'm pretty sure your on the right track. Both cruise and the vents are controlled by vacuum. Start the engine, remove the line to the vac pump, and put your finger on the vac pump. Feel for the suction, if there is suction on you finger it should be OK.

Re: vacuum?

there is vacuum but its very little

Your on the right track, look for bad hoses, there is a coupling right above turbo that can melt from heat. I would also put vac gauge on pump i dont know for shure but i would asume you should have 10-15 inch off vacume maybee more.
