Default alternator connector

Has anyone had trouble with the connector in back of alternator. Mine broke and all the local autoparts store say it a dealer item. Has anyone bought one from some where else. Any info would help. Thanks

I haven't had any problem with mine. If I remember correctly, it is a spade type connector, correct? If so, I see no problem in cutting the old one off, and crimping a spade terminal onto the wire.

I would say it's a two prong type. Two little rods sticking out and they sit kinda of sit inside of it.
