47re help

HI Guys i know that i have seen a post here with my problem but i cant seam to find it. sorry for the repeat. i just put a rebuilt trans in to my 2001. the trans first came from ats but i had a local shop go through it to clean it up after the TC went out. i put it back in and i do not have OD. I thought i say something on here about that being an elec problem. Any help would would be great.

Thanks

well if a shop went through it they have done something to it. i would take it back to them and make them fix it. but yes it is electrical and theres a solenoid that controls that shift on the vb it could be bad.

thanks my plan was to take it back on monday and talk to them. in the mean time i was trying to find out what other sensors might affect this (tps, cam, speed ect.) that i can be checking. when i picked the trans up from the shop he said that they fixed the problems in the trans that would affect this problem but they could have done something wrong.

You could try adjusting the APPS:
https://www.dieselbombers.com/24-val...-apps-adj.html

You could wire in a manual lock up switch to verify the mechanical/hydraulic parts work:
http://www.tstproducts.com/Torque%20...p%20Switch.pdf

There is also the APPS rewire procedure:

thanks i will look at that. I had a friend come over with a scanner and he told me that all of the sensors are working fine and the truck was running fine. then he tried to shift the trans in to OD with the scanner and it still would not shift. so i am thinking that i need to go back to the trans shop. Any thoughts?

Thanks
