2nd gear slip

Why would 2nd gear slip while all others pull just fine? Original trans with 166k miles. Pulls good in first, then dogs in second with no real rpm change, then shifts to third and pulls good, same in O/D pulls just fine. Is this a sensor/band problem or clutch pack problem?
