Help Please!

I have a electric fuel pressure gauge and an air dog lift pump with the new quick connects... so to save me some days of down time waiting on parts im wondering if anyone knows the size and thread pattern of the fuel intake on vp 44... i ordered the 90 degree elbow from air dog with the tap for the fuel pressure gauge... but both the vp 44 and the fitting from air dog are females.... so im just wondering if anyone knows the size of the nipple i need to order to make things right

CajunDevilDog 03-17-2011 04:00 PM

so no one knows the thread pitch and size of the banjo bolt on the inlet side of the vp 44?

Farmboy 2.0 03-17-2011 04:24 PM

I think its a 1.5 thread pitch but dont quote me on that

KillStroker 03-18-2011 06:46 AM

The one that fits. Take banjo into hardware store and do some referencing

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

12mm X ½” is what its calling it in the AD150 installation manual

KillStroker 03-18-2011 09:35 AM

Yeah, I didnt understand it RAW but I coppied and pasted that from the AD 150 install Man. Maybe thats not the thread count there referring to but the I.D. of the Banjo???

Cajun look on Vulcan Performance they have a 1/2 to 1/2 tee that has a 1/8 npt splice to install most Pressure gauges. Im actually waiting on mine to hit the front door step. That way you can still install the system and by the time it gets there youll be up and running all you have to do is splice the line from pump to engine wherever your wire harness will allow for gauge

"Most common are M12-1.5 which are used in the VP44 and CP3 inlets and 98.5 and up threaded fuel filter ports. The M14-1.5 is commonly used in the P7100 injection pump and the mechanical lift pump outlet on 94-98 12v engines although the connection is very tight in the LP outlet. Do not use sealant on metric threads."

i got this info from Vulcan website. Hope this helps you cajun.

appreciate it i had to basically do the same thing with the 90 elbow airdog sent me.... i figured it would be easiest to just put another quick connect hose barb on the 5/8 pipe female... so it basically looks like a T fitting...not exactly first class but its working...

intake bolt on vp44 is 14x1.5 intake on ppump is 14x.1.5 as well both return fittings are 12x1.5
