I posted yesterday about an injection pump. Well we are attempting to do it. Trying to figure out TDC. The manual I have is referring to a timing pin which I believe this truck does not have. It's a 2001. Does any1 have an idiots guide 2 finding TDC b4 we rip out this pump? Thanks

If I'm understanding this right I just pull the camshaft pos. Sensor?

 

With these pumps/engine, finding TDC #1 isn't necessary. The pump has a keyed shaft that fits into the gear. Unless you somehow get the gear in the timing cover to move, you can't get out of time.
