The roll over valve is clogged and not venting the way it should. There's a whole long thread of mine here someplace with this same issue.

Are you noticing all this pressure when you take your fuel filler cap off? I'd be looking at the fuel cap if that's the situation.

Could this be what you are thinking about:

Are you positive its pressure? We have had problems with a vacuum building up in the tank, that can cause problems.

it seems as its sucking air in when i take the cap off, and then diesel vapor comes out:argh:

moparious maximus 02-21-2011 01:14 PM

Yea thats a vacuum in the tank, its just not venting right.

So new cap? or try driving with it loose and see if that fixes it, then a new cap?

RAW 02-22-2011 08:35 AM

You could try driving around with the cap loose, or off to see if it makes a difference. I will almost guarantee it will though.

Smoke 'em 02-22-2011 12:06 PM

Sweet! I hope that is the problem

Go to the junk yard and get a cap for $5. Imo
