Advice on tuners

So I just bought a new vp44 after my stock lift pump went out and caused the vp44 to die. Sure its no suprise but my question is this. Should I chance it and put the edge comp box back on my new vp44 or should I can it and take the advice of a friend and put a smarty tuner. By the way I went with an Air Dog 100 as my new lift pump. Any advice would be great.

The smarty wont give you the power of a Edge Drag comp, TS , or Adr.

In all honesty its the User interface that really makes or breaks the deal for most educated buyers. The VP44 is limited to it's ability's and most all the major boxes will take it to the limit.

The wire tap will rarely kill a pump and it would generally happen due to the wire tap process or shortly after taping the pump would just kill off.

A good way to avoid wire tap issues would be a stealth cover.

As long as you have the fuel flow needed to lube the VP-44 you will be fine with any box out there.

Thanx for the replies fellas, so i just ordered a stealth cover and a gauge pod set. Hopefully now with the new lift pump and the fuel pressure gauge ill be able to catch a problem before i end up stranded on the side of the road for 3 hrs again.

I don't like the stealth cover as the one I had didn't work properly. but keep the pump supplies with fuel and your good to go.
