Default Is Exhaust Brakes Worth The Money

Im thinking about getting an Exhaust Brake for my 2001 Dodge Cummins. But I don't know if it is worth the money. How much will it really help me out. I have an automatic transmisson so will it help me slow down that much. Or am I better off getting something else for my truck.

i would not tow heavy without one. if you have a exhaust brake and it quits working you go quick to get it fixed.

I have 180k on my 01 and the wheel brakes are prolly 75% still, dont use them much other than to totally stop

as said above if you tow heavy a exhaust brake is a must have

a Jacobs will bolt right to the back of the turbo so thats cool but limits you to future turbo upgrades, I think the best is a 4" inline brake, that way ya can do whatever turbo ya want in the future..................this is prolly why I am still with a HX35 hybrid, I would like some more air but cant justify the price of a turbo and a new brake
